Visiting by boat is the most natural way to arrive — the ancient city was a significant maritime trading port, and anchoring in the northern or southern harbour gives direct access to the site.
Phaselis works well as the destination for a full-day charter, spending the morning at the ruins and the afternoon swimming in the bays. The water in Phaselis's coves is clear, shallow, and good for snorkelling over the submerged harbour stones.
