The ancient core of Antalya, Kaleiçi is one of the best-preserved Roman-era quarters in the eastern Mediterranean. Hadrian's Gate — a triple-arched marble monument built in AD 130 — still stands at the entrance to the old city, leading into a labyrinth of cobblestone lanes, Ottoman mansions, and the original Roman harbor. The Fluted Minaret (Yivli Minare), visible from almost anywhere in the city, has been Antalya's defining skyline feature for over 700 years.
The Lower Düden Waterfall is one of the Mediterranean's most unusual natural landmarks — a river that plunges 40 metres directly off a coastal cliff into the sea below. The Upper Düden, set inside a wooded canyon north of the city, features walkways that pass behind the cascade — cool and shaded even in the height of summer.
The Olympos Teleferik on Mount Tahtali rises from the coast to 2,365 metres in just 10 minutes — one of the longest cable car rides in Turkey. At the summit, the panorama stretches across the full arc of the Turquoise Coast and the peaks of the Taurus range. On exceptionally clear days, Cyprus is visible to the south. Suitable for all ages and open year-round weather permitting.
A traditional wooden gulet cruise from Antalya's Roman Harbor offers a completely different perspective on the coastline — limestone cliffs rising from turquoise water, hidden sea caves, and the Lower Düden Waterfall visible from the sea. Swimming stops in sheltered bays are standard on longer cruises, running April through October.
